“Our son Jasper has been following Dutch lessons with Sanne since 2019. At first the lessons were at our home, but when Covid hit, the lessons switched to online. After Sanne moved back to the Netherlands we continued with the lessons for Jasper because we are very satisfied with the way she teaches Jasper. Because Jasper is raised in English and goes to an English school, he always has difficulties with speaking and writing in Dutch.
Sanne has the qualities to empathize with her students’ situation and to adapt her teachings if needed. She is very patient, but also tenacious as a teacher to make sure that Jaspers’ Dutch language skills are slowly improving. “Our son started out with face-to-face lessons by juf Sanne, when she moved back to the Netherlands it switched to online. When we started he would speak Dutch, but no reading and writing and his pronunciation was like he was speaking English. I can’t believe what Sanne has been able to teach him during the 30 minute lessons. He now reads and writes in Dutch. And not only that, he finds his Dutch lessons the best lesson of the week. (And that’s not something he says easily). All in all are we very content and we will definitely continue with the lessons.”
